I am free by Zin

In a charming twist of destiny, the British sky revealed its most vibrant blue, while the sun cast golden rays that illuminated the world beneath. Ottelia piloted her car along the meandering roads, her smile reflecting the warmth surrounding her, as the graceful notes of classical music floated through her open windows. Yet, the sun yearned for something more spirited—a melody to match its radiant exuberance.

She pulled to the side of the road, her heart craving a tune that would sway with the sunlight filtering through the ancient trees that lined her route. Their towering branches stretched wide like welcoming arms, offering a soothing shade from the afternoon heat, while playful patches of sunlight danced on the grass, urging her to abandon the calm and seize the day’s energy. Each note she sought felt like an invitation to celebrate—a symphony perfectly suited for a day brushed in light.

In a rare moment of stillness, as she searched for the song to capture her mood, she suddenly halted, her gaze fixed on her reflection in the car mirror. “Oh my God, it’s been a month since I stopped taking my antidepressants. Everyone was upset about my decision, but look at you now. You’re alright. Right?” She spoke to her reflection, doubt swirling in her voice as her spirit wrestled with her troubled mind.

“Eureka! I’ve found my favourite song. Yes, now we’re free, Mr. Gladiator!” she declared with enthusiasm. As the music sprang to life, she reignited her journey, letting the vibrant rhythms and warm sunlight sweep her into the magnificent embrace of the day. Yet, in the shadows, a somber observer remained vigilant, his own despair lingering like a heavy fog that clawed at her spirit. Her anxieties hovered just behind her, poised to sink their talons into her very soul. It was only a matter of time before he would claim her, for she had unwittingly breathed life back into his darkness the moment doubt crept into her mind.
